    Off the beaten track

    Quintessence of the Valles Calchaquíes, the wine heartland of the province of Salta, in the north-western part of Argentina, the Seclantás Adentro estate, was born from an encounter: that of our passion for wines with the renowned savoir-faire of the Dávalos family’s Tacuil winery, known as ardent defenders of natural, unoaked wines.
    The conditions of the terroir, as singular as they are difficult, the the relentless work, the daily risk-taking and the dedication of our team have done the rest.

    “The valleys are not just for anyone!”, Raúl Dávalos

    The courageous thick-skinned grapes, burnt by the sun of the Tropic of Capricorn, beaten by winds, escaping from the frost, hail, ants and parrots, are the ultimate expression of the extreme conditions of the terroir. In our ungrafted vineyard, planted since 2007 on only 4 ha, the distinguished grapes of Malbec, Tannat, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, have found their place in the world, yielding grapes full of colours and subtle aromas. The estate is equally proud of its centenary-old vines of Criolla Chica, the ancient local grape variety.

    Singular wines

    Extreme altitude viticulture as it is developed in the Upper Calchaquí Valleys only makes sense if the wines are unique.
    The wines we produce retain their wild aromatic character, their untamable complexity while seeking elegance and finesse worthy of a consummate gastronomic experience, as proved by their presence in Michelin-starred restaurants.
    The Malbec wine does not go into barrels at all, in order to keep all its sincerity, while the Tannat, the Grenache and the Criolla Chica are aged for 9 to 12 months in French oak barrels of third, fourth or even fifth use.

    Seclantás Adentro Lodge

    Seclantás Adentro Lodge is our house in front of our vineyards. Created by architect Leonardo Yayo Pellegrini, the house preserves the stone walls of the original house that were restored by masons with local materials: wood from the trees on the farm, stones and sand from the river that runs at the bottom
